Although OpenStreetMap's editing tools allow the definition of hiking routes by grouping ways within a relation, the map displayed on the OSM site is not oriented towards hiking.
Our "Hiking Routes" project enables visitors to navigate the OpenStreetMap base-map with an additional layer showing hiking trails within Romania's borders.
The project is still a work in progress and additional information such as elevation contours and time estimates for hiking routes is slowly being added to the site. Thanks to OpenStreetMap's contributors and our colleague's work, more and more data is being uploaded to OSM's servers. Data quality is constantly improving and, at least in the mountain areas within driving distance of Bucharest (Bucegi, Piatra Mare, Piatra Craiului, Ciucas, Fagaras) we find the site to be a useful resource when planning hikes.
LoudHush is a softphone application for Mac OS X. You can use it to connect to the Asterisk PBX running in your office or to a VOIP provider that supports the IAX protocol. With LoudHush you can initiate and answer, hold and transfer voice calls using your computer. LoudHush is written in Cocoa/Objective-C and integrates nicely within the OS X environment.
